Here are some ways on how you can develop thrift and economy.
- Take good care of your personal belongings. Always keep an eye on your valuables. Check the area where you stayed before leaving.
- Now a day, money are so hard to find/ earn, so spend your money very wisely.
- Save regularly. Avoid spending too much especially to those unnecessary things.
- Save on food. Avoid left over.
- Use school materials like pencils, ball pens, erasers, sharpeners and most especially papers, economically.
- Wear mended or remodeled but still useable clothes.
- Wear old, colored clothes when doing household chores.
- Use light, water and fuel wisely. Turn them off when not in use.
- Take good care of your household equipment and appliances like stoves, washing machines, electric fans, etc.
- Wear appropriate, inexpensive and simple clothes in attending casual occasions.
- Earn honest money during your spare time. Use your talent, bake a cake or cookies, candies and chocolates, delicacies and chips, and sell them to your friends, classmates or office mates.
- Save on bus, taxi or jeep fare. Walking is a good exercise. Have a healthy lifestyle.
- Know that what is not wisely spent is wasted; that thrift provides for future needs.
- Celebrate special occasions simply.
