Here are the manners that a gentleman and a lady should not forget when they are in a date:

FOR THE GENTLEMAN:

1. A gentleman remains standing until all ladies are seated and always rises when a lady enters, except in waiting room and other pubic places.
2. Gentleman should help a lady up the step of a bus by giving a slight lift with his hand at her elbow.
3. Gentleman should be the first one to gets off the bus and then turns to help his lady companion step down.
4. Gentleman should seats his lady companion in her chair at the table before he himself sits down to eat.
5. Gentleman should ask the lady what she would like to order and then usually gives both orders to the waiter.
6. Gentleman should let a lady precede him down the aisle in a movie house if there is an usher. If there is an usher, the gentleman should goes ahead to find seats.
7. Gentleman should guide a lady by the arm when crossing a street with heavy traffic.

FOR THE LADY:

1. The lady should be as early as her escort on a date.
2. The lady should not order expensive food and drinks when her escort takes her to a restaurant for a snack.
3. The lady should politely insist on being taken home at the time she is expected to go home.
4. The lady should show appreciation for the courtesies her escort shows her by being a pleasant companion but she should never allow familiarities from the gentleman or from other boys.
5. The lady should observe good conduct and simplicity at all times. She can be refined without being a bore.
